Ava's New Room

I've been meaning to post these pictures for awhile, but we finally finished a room in our house. Ava definitely has the best room in the house now! Alexa will join her in there in a few months once we have her sleeping all night. We still have a few spots on the hardwood floor that we need to fix & we need to hang some of Ava's pictures & things from her old room, but otherwise, it's just perfect. What do you all think?!

Beautiful Day

Ever have one of those days where everything in the world just seems right? They are rare, but today is one of them for me.

The day started with the great news that Cady is pregnant! Cady got married a few months after me & has been trying to have a baby since then. I am just so, so happy for her & her husband.

Then I managed to get a few things done this morning before we headed out the door for park day. It was a beautiful day & Ava had so much fun. We went out with 3 other mom's & their little girl's for lunch. I had a super yummy lunch & I didn't worry one bit about weight watchers today.

Right now both girls are napping, although Alexa hasn't eaten in 5 hours so I may end up waking her up soon. I have to finish up the invitations for my sister's bridal shower, so maybe I'll just let her sleep.

I know the day is only half over, but I just love when life feels this good. I also ordered a sling yesterday & I just can't wait for it to arrive. It shipped today, so I hope that it comes soon.

As mentioned above, I also joined weight watchers again on Monday. With my sister's wedding coming up, I want to be in good shape. I have about 20 pounds to lose soon, so I have to get motivated.

Ah, I knew a good thing wouldn't last. Alexa just woke up, so I'm off to feed her.

Quick Catch Up

Wow. Life with two kids sure takes up a lot of time. I had no idea it's been so long since I've even thought of blogging. We had my mom here, then Edward's mom, then our internet was down for a week. Everything is finally back to normal now though.

I actually have pictures taken of Alexa, Ava's new room and the kitchen, but of course, they aren't uploaded yet. I'll eventually get them up here for you all to see.

Alexa is still a great sleeper, making this two kid thing seem easy. I definitely don't have much free time anymore, but I don't feel overwhelmed. This week may be a different story since I stupidly offered to host my mom's group bunco night at my house on Friday. That means I'm going to spend all week cleaning & organizing. That's always a good thing though.

Ava is going to daycare today because we don't want her to be afraid to go back. It'll give me a chance to run a few errands, like picking up Alexa's birth certificate. Thinking of all that, I need to get back to getting ready so we can get going this morning!

Just Busy With Life

I'm still here. Just very busy with life as a mom of two. Alexa is doing great & Ava is loving being a big sister. My mom was here for 5 days. She left right after Edward's mom arrived. It hasn't been too awful having her here, but honestly, a week is far too long. We're not even half way through her visit & I'm already ready to have my house back. She did, however, finally motivate my husband to put a kitchen floor in for me. We have lived here for 2.5 years with just a subfloor in our kitchen. It's crazy. They are about half way through the project. I hope to have a finised kitchen by tonight. Well, almost finished. We still have to paint.

I hear a certain 1.5 year old crying for me. Time to run. More updates later.
