I realize that prolonged absenses from blogging at this late stage of my pregnancy makes everyone wonder... but nope, no baby yet! I'm at 35 weeks right now. From yesterday's check-up, turns out I'm measuring about 36 weeks. Everything is going really well. Baby is in the perfect position right now, heartbeat was great and I'm still feeling okay. Not great, but okay. I honestly don't think I'm making it to 40 weeks though!
I've officially decided that next week will be my last week of work. I'm going to try to get the paperwork done today for all of that. I think my company is only planning on allowing 6 weeks off, which would mean me going back in the middle of March. That is just not going to happen! Thankfully, my client is in charge & they want me to be happy & have already told me that company policy makes no difference in my case. They said to just let them know when I want to come back & they'll make the arrangements. Once I do go back, this little one will be going with me for awhile. We'll see how it all goes.
We've also been very, very busy around here finally getting ready for her arrival. My SIL came over yesterday & helped me do some cleaning/arranging/organizing. I still have a long way to go, but I finally have most of the baby stuff pulled out. I just need to get it all ready to go. The biggest news of all... my wonderful hubby finally painted the guest room. In a few days we can move Ava into her new room! Well, Eddie thinks we need to wait at least 2 weeks to let the paint smell go away, but I keep telling him that a few days is fine. Paint is not what it used to be!
Yesterday I picked up some baby books & Edward spotted a name that he liked right away. I also like, so we've officially added to our list the name Alexa. We both need to make sure we like it a few days from now, but at least our list is expanding!

Glad you're doing OK and making progress!! It is stressful to have that due-date hanging over your head (how well I know!). Alexa is a great name ... one of my BFFs from childhood has a sister named Alexa and I've always thought it was pretty. Good luck with your projects.
Alexa is so pretty! :) Marie would go as a middle name, just saying. Our daughters are Jessica Marie and Jacqueline Renee (with an accent over the first e).
I'm glad you are taking an extended leave of absence from work. I didn't do that with Jac and I regret it even now. I was given 8 weeks off as I had a c-section and a month before deliver under doc's orders. You are really lucky your client is so generous, they must adore you!
You must be so excited! Thank goodness for family helping out. :)
Sounds like everything is moving right along! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful and short! ;)
