Off for the Day

I thought I'd start this post with a picture of Ava from the night last week that she came down sick. This was our first sign that something was wrong... she fell asleep on the sofa! Turns out she had a high fever, but isn't it the cutest that they fell asleep together?!

Today we're heading out to Rancho Murieta to visit our friends who until last month lived right down the street from us. Shannon is my closest friend in terms of age (seriously, she's only 5 days older than me!). We met less than a year ago through the mom's group & discovered that we lived just down the street. So all summer & fall we walked 2-3 days a week together. Her daughter, Nora, is a year older than Ava. Shannon babysat for me a bit this summer too when I was between childcare. We were so, so sad to see them move, but I'm so excited to go visit them today. I've never been to Rancho Murieta, but I think it's almost 2 hours away. Should be interesting!

I'm doing well pregnancy-wise. I really do think this baby is coming soon. I'm at 36 weeks now. Ava came the first day of my 38th week, so if this baby is as early, we're talking soon! Ava's room is almost ready for her to move into. Edward just has a bit of touch up paint left to do. We want to wait a few days after he's finished to let the paint smell go away before she officially starts sleeping in there. I'm hoping to move her stuff in very soon though. I still haven't decided on bedding for the baby yet though. And we still only have 1 crib, so we need to either get Ava her big girl bed within the next couple of months or buy another crib. We'll see, I guess.

Gotta get a move on since I'm dying for a hot chocolate this morning. I love the Starbucks drive-thru! How lazy am I?
